In case you missed the workshop yesterday, here are some quick tips on Google programs that can help you!
Google Docs and Spreadsheets is online software that allows you to do word processing documents or spreadsheets and store them online. It also allows you to invite others to view your document, or to collaborate on it. Think of the possibilities when students have group work!
Google Alerts allows you to sign up for email alerts when new information about a topic appears in the news or on websites. A student can sign up to have information about their research topic delivered right to their Groupwise email, daily or weekly!

Google Notebook allows you to keep your favorites/bookmarks online, so no matter what computer you are on, you can access them. You can organize them by subject also.
All of this and more can be found under the “more” button on the Google homepage. You have to create a free account on Google to use these features.
More Google tips on Google Books and Google Calendar tomorrow!
How can we use some of these applications in the classroom in a transformative way and create something new? (Click on “comment” to share your thoughts. )
