I don't know that it changed my life, but it was the book I remember that (in my mind) changed my parents view of me as an "adult" instead of "child". When I brought it home one visit, my mother first took it up and then my father. Next thing I knew we were pouring over maps of all the blue hiway adventures we had had. One of their last trips together was a blue hiways adventure to the northwest. What a wonderful memory to pop into my head tonight! And yes, Little Women would be on my list as well....not sure why just like you, but I know it would be there. Blue Hiways! wow! I don’t know that it changed my life, but it was the book I remember that (in my mind) changed my parents view of me as an “adult” instead of “child”.
